Housing & clubs

Rent a home or lot, grant access and share selected permissions with your club.

Find a home or lot

Visit the property clerk for available apartments and lots. Town apartments provide cheaper housing; the countryside also contains houses, farm properties and blank plots. Lot boards open details on left-click or Look, including a name you can use at the clerk.

Property boundaries and protected areas can be shown on the map. A ground-floor entrance and an upstairs apartment may lead to separate properties: check the actual name and floor instead of assuming the whole building is one home.

Entry and permissions

Unowned rental apartments and restricted plots are not public shortcuts. Once you own a property, grant the access you intend. Entry, station use, storage and building rights are separate. Allowing somebody through the door does not automatically let them empty a chest or modify the house.

Public-entry permission allows anyone to enter where that option is offered. Approved individual permissions and a current-club permission can coexist. If one permission is withdrawn but another still authorizes the action, the remaining grant continues to apply.

Rent and expiry

Check the property's paid-until time. Weekly renewal keeps the entitlement active, with limited prepayment rather than an unlimited distant deadline. A renewal must complete before the property has expired. Accounts are subject to the property's ownership and rental limits; making another character is not a way around them.

Expiry ends access and can send recoverable belongings to local collection. Check the clerk and collection service instead of assuming the contents remain available in the former home. Rental auctions use their own listed schedule and funded-bid rules.

Clubs

A character belongs to one club at a time. Invite other characters and use the Club permission on properties, animals, colonies and carts where available. That grants access to the owner's current club, not every club in the world.

Leaving or being removed from a club can end work that depended on its permission. Reserved crafting inputs return when a job loses its required access. An independent personal permission can still authorize the work.

Living in a dangerous town

Protection does not erase crime restrictions or damage already committed. Town buildings can be attacked and destroyed, but are difficult targets. Repair crews perform physical repair work and may be intercepted. Replacement crews are limited, and repeated losses cause longer replacement delays, up to roughly three days.

Use the current protection and property details rather than treating every roof or town boundary as unconditional immunity.
